1. I went to the Lehi Rodeo!
This was a big step for me.
I had a ...really bad experience at a rodeo when I was little and I have never been to one since.

But it was fun.. and nobody got hurt and I survived it :)
2. Last week was " Freedom Week" at King Henry. This was really fun. I was busy working for some of it.. but the parts I went to were fun. They had a fun activity every night like the opening ceremonies, then water balloon volleyball, then a tug of war, on Thursday was a fun flour fight, on Friday was a fun dance, and Saturday a BBQ
3. The past week I have been sick :( I have been having a bad sore throat, cough, a fever one day, etc. Yuck. I went to the doc and got a strep test but it came back negative. Oh well. I'm much better now, and I feel almost back to normal :)
4. Stadium of Fire on Saturday was super fun! Even though I had a sore throat and my voice was really horse, I felt alright and went to work. Heather and I were ushers. So we got to wear really attractive orange vests. It was pretty easy, I just showed where their seats were. I did get to call in a medical emergency though. There was a lady who fainted from heat stroke, and I called the EMT's with my little radio :) Pretty legit. I also felt bad for people who had bought tickets from sketchy places online, and their seats were already taken my someone else who had a legitimate ticket. We had a few of those. One of them was a soldier who had just gotten back from Iraq who was there with his kids. He told me he had gotten his tickets on the army website or something and they weren't working. I felt so bad that they were just standing there without seats at a patriotic presentation that was supposed to HONOR soldiers. Thankfully, my supervisor got them seats somewhere else. There was also a poor old lady who had ridden her motor wheelchair up the ramp all of the way to the top of the stadium where I was. I was supposed to tell her to go check it in at the bottom floor, but she said she couldn't walk back up and I felt really bad for her, so I let her park it by a concession stand up by where we were. Then during the show I didn't do much, and it was a great show. David Archuleta only did a few songs though, and then it was mostly Brad Paisley. He was really good and I couldn't help singing along even though my voice was almost gone and it made it worse the next day :)
Then they did the fireworks, and it was the most amazing fireworks I have seen in my life. It was incredible.
here's a little clip I found on YouTube that totally still doesn't do them justice.
5. Fourth of July! I had a great fourth of July with the fam. I went home on Sunday, July 3rd after church. Heather is my roommate and she was nice enough to give me a ride home with her. She was going to her sisters house and I went there and my Mom picked me up. John and Haley came over late Sunday night and we did some fireworks. Then on Monday, we went swimming in our above ground pool. It actually was overcast and sprinkled rain a little bit, but it was fun none the less. Dave and Jenn and their girls came over and we had a BBQ. Yummm :) Then in the evening everyone left, and Steve went on a date so I just had a chill night with just me and my parents, watching tv and watching fireworks on the deck. That was good. I think everyone needs a night with your parents once in a while, no matter how old you get.
