Cruise!

Ahh my Mom and I are going on a Cruise from LA to Baja, Mexico right after finals in December!
How fun will that be?!!?!?!
I'm super excited :) :)
I have never been on a cruise before, but they sound so fun and wonderful. Can't wait.
It'll be so fun to spend time with my wonderful Momma.

I would say "can it be December already?' But then I'd skip my birthday, and Summer. Can't do that.

Papa

I have the best Dad in the entire world. Hands down.
Just sayin.
He's been there for me through everything. I love him so much.
He's so funny and silly, but spiritual at the same time.
He shows me, kindly, through example, a better way to live.
He is one of the most Christlike people I have ever known.
I picture our Heavenly Father to be a lot like him <3
I'm so blessed. I love him more than I can say. He has done so much for me, and our family.
And he can fix just about anything.
The grandkids call him "Papa"

Love ya, Dad.

St. George

Ahh.. my family and I spent the weekend in St. George, Utah. It was wonderful, and warm :) It was almost 80.
I loved spending time with the fam, and my neices and nephew. They are the cutest.
We ate. Alot. We ate at Pirate Island, and a yummy Mongolian Grill! So good
We had so much fun, we ate a lot and went swimming alot. In the pool where a few songs from High School Musical 2 was filmed! Pretty sweet!

AFRICA

I am most likely going to minor in International Development.
It's something I'm really passionate about, and it will help me live my dreams!
I have ALWAYS wanted to go on a Humanitarian trip.
I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Africa.
I feel connected to and fascinated by Africa and have my whole life.
When I was praying to find what Heavenly Father would have me do in Africa, a week or two later, I was at the Wilkinson Student Center at BYU and they were doing a presentation on Help, International. I was fascinated. I felt like it was an answer to prayer.  They go all around the world, but I wanted to do the Uganda program.
It is EVERYTHING I've wanted for a trip to Africa.
The two best things about it are
1. They interview YOU and see your strengths and interests, and put you to work in your field.
For example, I'm an Elementary Education major, so they would probably put me in a school or an orphanage.
2. 90% of the kids who go on these trips are LDS. That is awesome. You don't find that anywhere else. Traveling and living with people who share your standards will be awesome

I'm going there next summer. Hopefully! And if I minor in International Development, it'll be paid for with my Student Loans! Yippee! :) Also, it'll be a great opportunity for me and maybe will open doors for later trips or jobs even related to Humanitarian things. Who knows.

I'm more than excited. Africa, here I come

Missionary

My bro Mike is on his mission in Brazila, Brazil right now!
I miss him :(
We have become a lot closer than ever before while he's been gone.
Weird, I know. Get close to someone while they are 1/2 a world away?
He'll be back in January and he's going to live in King Henry with me! YAY!! :)

I love missions, I love missionaries.
I hadn't really thought about it before, but ever since I've come to BYU, and especially lately, everything has been about going on a mission, getting ready for a mission, how great missions are, etc.
Maybe this is His way of telling me it's almost MY turn to go! It'd be so great! :)
Every time I think about it, it feels right and I feel so happy.
I can see it now "Sister Forsyth"  :)

I can put my papers in right after Winter semester of 2013, because my birthday is April 21, 2013.
And that's right when semester ends.
CRAZYYYYY!!

Biebbbeeeerrrr Feeeeevvverrr!!! Happy Birthday Biebs!

Ok.. my Bieber Fever has been bad lately.
The girls in my building had a "Justin Bieber Birthday Party"
We played Justin Bieber music and danced in a party bus.
Also in the back of a truck.
It was pretty epic.
Check that off my bucket list.

Bieber Fever + Jimmer Mania= Craziness!!! :)

Merry Christmas?

Ok.. I know I wrote about Spring Fever a few days ago... but this morning I woke up to
A FOOT OF SNOW?!!
What is this?! It hasn't snowed for weeks?!

In other news, my History of Jazz Music class is taking over my life. This week we have 2 tests, a listening exam for which we have 13 songs that we have to know the year they were written, the band leader, the style, the characteristics, and all of the soloists in the song. We also have a written exam to. so two tests. And this unit is all swing songs and they all sound the same! It's crazy!
We also have to go to 4 Jazz Concerts, and it's Jazz week at BYU and so basically ALL of the concerts are this week! It's going to be crazy. or.. I'm going to be crazy. Here's one of the songs!

Wish me luck!
